Review: Mirror for Roku is a convenient application that allows users to mirror the screen and audio of their iPhone or iPad to a Roku device. Compatible with various Roku models, including Roku Streaming Players, Roku Sticks, and Roku TVs from popular brands like Hisense, TCL, Insignia, and more.

While the app provides an efficient way to watch movies, give presentations, and view photos on a larger screen, it's important to note that there may be a slight delay of 1 to 3 seconds in mirroring. This latency makes it unsuitable for gaming purposes.

Here's how the app operates:

1. Ensure that your iPhone or iPad is connected to the same local network as your Roku device.
2. Launch the Mirror for Roku app and allow it to search for available Roku devices on your network. Once it finds a compatible device, select it. For first-time users, the app will prompt you to add the Mirror for Roku receiver to your Roku device.
3. To receive notifications about the status of your Roku device, grant permission for notifications within the app. This feature helps you stay informed if any issues arise.
4. To start mirroring, click on "Start Mirroring" after selecting the desired Roku device. Subsequently, you can switch to any other app on your iPhone or iPad while mirroring continues seamlessly.
5. To stop mirroring, either tap the red top bar visible on your iPhone or iPad, or use the "Stop Mirroring" option within the Mirror for Roku app.

There are certain limitations and known issues with this app. Notably, some apps may block screen mirroring due to Digital Rights Management (DRM) restrictions. Apps such as Netflix, Disney, and AppleTV+ have opted to disable screen mirroring. To check if an app allows mirroring, a test can be performed by using the screen recording feature on your device and assessing the playback in the Photos app.

If you require additional functionality, there is an option to upgrade to the Mirror for Roku Pro Version through an in-app purchase. The Pro Version includes features such as audio mirroring, lifetime updates, and the ability to select higher screen resolutions (e.g., 720p and 1080p).

Please note that automatic renewal of the subscription is enabled by default, but it can be turned off within the user's Account Settings at least 24 hours before the current period ends. The Mirror for Roku app also provides links to their Terms of Use and Privacy Policy for users' reference.
